Just a little under a month ago I was directed to look at Magnolias eye. It looked weird. It was not like that the night before. ( Magnolia was a kitty up for adoption at Pet Valu)
But how can you know for sure ? Maybe your human brain is too busy looking at all the pretty colours... Don't be hard on yourself. Some people are just not as smart as cats.
Thanks Sergeant. Spell colours?
Kuhlars.
Where did you get that spelling?
It's cat speak. A higher form of English.
Sure...
Anyways, to respond to Sergeants snotty remark.. Though I was positive Maggie's eye did not look like that last night, I decided to check my photos. I had just taken a bunch the night prior and I would be able to see the eye...
I was right, she looked fine, no visible issues .
So what did you think happened?
We thought maybe she fell in her head and received a concussion. Causing her pupil to not dilate.
Watching her play in her cage and roll off a shelf gave me the idea.
Is that what happened?
Well, no. I took her to see Dr B at the vets and he checked her ears.
Ears? But I thought it was her eye?
It was her eye, but something had to cause that right?
Of course.
Turns out little Miss Magnolia had an inner ear infection. The vet said since the infection is causing swelling inside the ear, it could be pressing on a nerve connected to the eye.
Do cats get ear infections a lot?
Actually no, I was told that ear infections are more common in dogs.
Well she is a weird cat.
She is kinda strange...not even because she has extra toes!
She has extra toes?! Did she steal them?
Steal them? How? No!
Shes actually a Polydactyl. Or a Hemingway Cat.
Magnolia was given an injection and ear drops. After they were given to her a week, she started showing signs of recovery!
After two weeks she was back to her normal..abnormal self.
So she was able to get spayed.
And she was adopted!
Really?
Yup.
To a human?
Uh yeah.
When are those weirdos getting adopted?
Hey!
Those weirdos will be adopted when we find someone perfect for them.
They don't have to be perfect. Breathing is good enough.
Sebby, you really need to work on your sarcastic snotty behaviour.
Not being sarcastic.... and no.

The cats would like to hear from the humans.
