This is not a list of foods that are considered toxic to animals - I will do that one another time
This is a list of things that are found in some pet foods.

Blue 2
Propyl Gallate
Propylene Glycol
Yellow 5
Yellow 6

BHA - Butylated Hydroxyanisole is an antioxidant consisting of a mixture of two isomeric organic compounds, 2-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyanisole and 3-tert-butyl-4-hydroxyanisole.
Used as an antioxidant, helps keep foods from becoming rancid.

BHT -  Butylated hydroxytoluene is a lipophilic organic compound, chemically a derivative of phenol.
Used as an antioxidant.

Nooo!!

TBHQ - Tertiary Butylhydroquinone is an aromatic organic compound which is a type of  phenol.
Used as an antioxidant and preservative.
(Phenol)
(Lipophilic)

They may cause

BHA
Contact Dermatitis
Contact Urticaria
Carcinogens
Papillomas
Squamous Cell Carcinomas
BHT
Abnormal Cell behaviour
Increased Liver Weights
TBHQ
Liver abnormalities
Convulsions
Medullary Paralysis
Mutagenic Effects

I doubt that is the full list - it is just what I found in regards to animal studies.

Studies done on BHA, BHT, TBHQ

Blue # 2 - E132
Also called Indigotine - A synthetic coal tar dye used in pharmaceuticals, desserts, drinks, as a medical diagnostic aid, and in pet foods.

It may cause

Skin Rashes
Breathing problems
Brain Tumors
In studies it was noted that long term use as a diagnostic aid may cause Macrophlange Activity - this basically means that the body sees it as a foreign invader.

Propyl Gallate - or propyl 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoate is an ester formed by the condensation of gallic acid and propanol
Used as an antioxidant.

It may cause

Skin Irritation
Skin Sensitization
Eye Irritation
Mucous Membrane Irritation
Upper Respiratory Tract Irritation
Signs of possible carcinogenic activity in male mice

Propylene Glycol -also called propane-1,2-diol, is an organic compound. It is a viscous colourless liquid which is nearly odourless but possesses a faintly sweet taste

It may cause

CNS solvent syndrome
Heinz Body
L-Lactic Acidosis
Reproduction Issues
Cholesterol Issues
Heart Issues

Yellow # 5 - E102- Also known as Tartrazine, it is a synthetic organic chemical.

It may cause

Allergies
Thyroid tumors
Chromosomal Damage

Mesothelioma
Trigger for asthma
Urticaria (hives)
Hyperactivity

Yellow #6 - E110 -Sunset Yellow, it is a synthetic yellow azo dye.

It may cause

Urticaria (hives)
Rhinitis (runny nose)
Nasal congestion
Bronchoconstriction (combined with Amaranth, Ponceau)
Anaphylactoid reaction (combined with Ponceau)
Eosinophilotactic response
Purpura (bruising)
Allergies
Kidney tumors
Chromosomal damage
Abdominal pain
Vomiting
Indigestion
Distaste for food
